What is CGPA?
CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Average. It is a measure of the overall cumulative performance of a student over all semesters. The CGPA is the ratio of total credit points earned by a student in various courses in all semesters and the sum of the total credits of all courses in all semesters.
CBSE- CGPA to percentage calculation
CBSE has launched a new system for displaying results of class 10 as per the CCE (Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation) system in the form of a grading system known as CGPA in the year 2010
CBSE mentioned that an indicative equivalence of Grade points and percentage of marks can be computed as follows:
Subject-wise indicative percentage of marks =9.5x GP of the subject
Overall indicative percentage of marks =9.5x CGPA
For example, if your CGPA is 8, then your percentage would be 9.5*8=76%
